ABOUT HUGH BARTER
Born in Nagoya, Japan, and raised in Australia’s Grand Prix city – Melbourne, his passion for his sport is infectious, and his intention is clear – to become Formula 1 World Champion.
Hugh's talent was evident the moment he started karting, and culminated on him leading Daniel Ricciardo's, Ricciardo Kart Australian Factory Team.
In 2020 Hugh's first ever drive in a racing car saw him win the prestigious Richard Mille Young Talent Academy shootout, leading to his representation of the Academy in the 2021 French F4 Championship where he finished second overall. In 2022, Hugh emerged as vice-champion in both French and Spanish F4 championship.
With his stunning F4 debut behind him, Hugh broke the conventional path, skipping Formula Regional Europe, jumping directly into the international FIA Fourmula 3 Championship in 2023 and securing top ten finishes in races at the Austrian, British and Belgian Grand Prix.
With his natural ability, commitment to his craft, the pursuit of excellence, Hugh is about to start the next phase of his exciting journey towards his ultimate goal – Formula 1.
