James Edward Harden Jr. was brought into the world on August 26, 1989, in Los Angeles, California. James Sr., a previous Navy sailor, was generally missing from his life, prompting Harden and his two kin being raised by their mother, Monja Willis, in the infamous neighborhood of Compton.
When he previously went for the young men's ball group at Artesia High School in neighboring Lakewood, Harden stood a generally humble 6'1" and was hampered by episodes of asthma. Notwithstanding, he promptly dazzled his mentors with his game impulses, and subsequent to growing a couple inches, he became one of the top players in the country. Solidify drove Artesia to consecutive state titles, and was named a McDonald's All-American in 2007.
