Rhenus Group Unifies Latin America Operations as Blu Logistics LATAM Becomes Rhenus Logistics
Rhenus Group has officially rebranded Blu Logistics LATAM to Rhenus Logistics following its 2023 acquisition, establishing a single commercial identity across Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, and Uruguay. This move integrates Blu Logistics' network with Rhenus’ existing presence in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico, delivering enhanced consistency, connectivity, and access to a comprehensive portfolio of Air & Ocean freight, warehousing, and end-to-end supply chain solutions. In 2024, the combined operations handled over 210,000 TEUs—up 16.7% from 180,000 TEUs in 2023—underscoring Rhenus’ leadership on pivotal trade lanes such as Far East Asia to LATAM. The opening of new regional offices, most recently in Belo Horizonte, further fortifies the company’s footprint in strategic logistics hubs. CEO Tobias Bartz calls the rebrand a milestone, uniting two family-owned businesses under one global banner for greater efficiency and growth. Joint MD Bhaswar Arya highlights the strengthened India–Latin America trade corridor, driven by BRICS collaboration and free trade agreements, which unlocks sectoral opportunities in pharmaceuticals, agro-commodities, textiles, and more. With 40,000 employees at 1,320 sites worldwide and a robust joint venture in India, Rhenus is positioned to deliver integrated, customer-centric logistics across continents, seamlessly, sustainably, and reliably.
