Investigation of phytochemicals from Magnolia obovata fruit led to the isolation of three novel phenylpropanoid glycosides obovatoside A-C (1-3) and two known phenylpropanoids, syringin (4) and pavonisol (5). The structures of 1-5 were determined by NMR, HRMS, IR and CD spectroscopic analyses.
