A total of 25 strains of S. enterica were isolated in the paca carcasses, primarily in fresh carcasses (48.6%). The serovars separated were Agona (45.8%), Infantis (41.7%), Wangata (8.3%), and Javiana (4.2%). A considerable number of the remote strains had been multidrug resistant (40%).
