There is moderate-quality evidence that SMT results in similar outcomes at 4weeks (pain mean difference [MD] - 2.56, 95% confidence interval [CI] - 5.78 to 0.66; functional status standardized mean difference [SMD] - 0.18, 95% CI - 0.41 to 0.05).
