Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) followed by optic neuritis (ADEM-ON) is characterized by the following features early onset, monophasic or multiphasic ADEM followed by one or more episodes of ON, and the presence of serum anti-myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibodies.
