Hailing from Godhra, India, Dr. Jasvant Modi was born in 1951 and is a former gastroenterologist. He obtained his medical degree from B.J. Medical College and completed his residency in Chicago, Illinois, following his immigration to the United States in 1975. He and his wife, Dr. Meera Modi, are dedicated followers of Jainism and care deeply about promoting the tenets of their Jain values through healthcare and education. Currently, the couple assists in the management of four small hospitals they have acquired over the past decade. The Modis are determined to show support for all members of the community through their hospitals.
