Introduction Acute pancreatitis (AP) causes a cascade of complex inflammatory responses following an initial insult. Hence, the scoring systems include white blood cell count (WBC) as a marker of severity of acute pancreatitis. C-reactive protein (CRP) was also shown to be useful in predicting the course of pancreatitis. This study analyses role of inflammatory markers in predicting gallstone aetiology of AP and length of hospital stay (LOS). Materials and methods A total of 143 patients with acute pancreatitis between October 20
