Latanoprost has recently been used to treat alopecia as it causes an increase in the capillary density of patients. This work presents for the first time the development of polymeric nanocapsules containing latanoprost for the topical treatment of alopecia. Poly-ε-caprolactone nanocapsules loading latanoprost were developed by nanoprecipitation of the polymer on the surface of drug oily nanodroplets.
