One of the most challenging aspects of my work in chemical development is finding ways to advance science and technology while minimising their detrimental effects on the environment. The linked article is my own work on the subject. Just so there is no confusion, nobody is saying that development is always bad. Honestly, I don't think anyone would be uninterested in finding a revolutionary invention that could change the world. However, consider this: new chemical processes and compounds are never born in a lab on their own. The real consequences of the issue on ecosystems, human well-being, and the natural world are concerning.
