World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage. For instance an item with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value). The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level rises.
