The Mighty Wave near Kanagawa “Under the Wave off Kanagawa” is how Hepburn referred to Kanagawa-Oki Nami Ura. During the Japanese Edo time, in late 1831, Hokusai, an expert of ukiyo-e workmanship, made a woodblock print known.
