Emissions and Emission Intensity
Climate change is a major global challenge. To address it, the Paris Agreement was adopted in December 2015 at COP21, aiming to keep global temperature rise below 2°C above pre-industrial levels. The agreement mandates each party to set and update Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) every five years, detailing plans to reduce emissions and adapt to climate impacts.
