GR activity was decreased by P deficiency, which can inhibit the form of GSH and GSH-Cd complexes and decrease Cd translocation via GSH-Cd complexes. The transportation of PC-Cd complexes into vacuole decreased under P deficiency as a result of the low expression of PCS and ABCC1, and thus suppressed Cd tolerance and Cd detoxification in roots.
