Failure was noted in six eyes. Subsequent cataract surgery was needed in 13 eyes (37%) with a median duration from trabeculectomy being 6.75 (1, 11) years. None of the preoperative, intraoperative, or postoperative factors tested were associated with failure (P 0.10 for all associations on Cox proportional hazard regression analysis).
