Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades Upgrades to gear increase its base stats and sometimes enhances its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements and how many random augmentations are made available. The racial Shield elite Razortail for instance, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption function in PvP or add additional defenses to missile-based build in the PvM.
