Five new species of armored scale insect from Argentina are described and illustrated based upon morphological and molecular evidence from adult females Chortinaspis jujuyensissp. nov., Clavaspis patagonensissp. nov., Hemiberlesia ozolitasp. nov., Melanaspis lilloisp. nov., and Melanaspis targionoidessp. nov.
