Canada Visa Application Fee Hike From December
Starting December 1, 2024, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will increase visa application and processing fees for visitors, workers, students, and temporary residents extending their status. Applications submitted before the fee hike will remain valid, but applicants must pay the fee difference. To do so, calculate the difference, pay via IRCC’s online payment tool, and submit the receipt per IRCC’s instructions. While the new fee structure is pending release, Matrix Venture Studio provides updates. Complete applications with old fees will not be rejected. The hike impacts applications for temporary resident status restoration, return authorization, and criminal rehabilitation.
