Delhi to Udaipur Road Trip Guide
There are two ways to get to Udaipur from Delhi and each of them has its own experience. The choice depends on whether you prefer a fast highway or a scenic route.
The first one via NE 4 and NH 48 is the most popular one. This route is 711 km and takes around 11 hours. It passes through Delhi, Gurgaon, Alwar, Ajmer, Bhilwara and Nathdwara before reaching Udaipur. The roads are in good condition and give you a better stop option if you want a hassle-free journey with minimal diverts.
The second one via NE 4 and NH 27 is slightly longer 718 km and takes around 11.5 hours. It follows the same route as Route 1 till Bhandarej and then diverges towards Hindoli, Bundi, Chittorgarh and Vallabhnagar before reaching Udaipur. This route is perfect for history buffs as it takes you through some of Rajasthan’s most underrated historical towns including Bundi’s ancient step wells and Chittorgarh Fort.
But long road trips can be tiring especially when you are travelling with a group. Cramped cars and frequent halts can make the journey boring. That’s why hiring a tempo traveller from Delhi to Udaipur becomes the perfect solution. Spacious seating, comfortable reclining chairs and plenty of space for luggage make the journey smooth and relaxed.
