Everything to Know About Gas Lanterns

A gas lamp is a device that uses gas as its source of energy. The gas is burned and produces light along with heat in the process. The gas used is generally butane, propane or methane as a primary energy source. Incandescent lamps use an electric filament and are not to be confused with gas lamps. Gas lamps are mainly used in darker areas where lights are not enough for proper visibility. These lamps are also used in colder areas where heat is required to warm the surrounding air.
