By adding more social networking tools, Plex, a media software startup and streaming service, is extending its offers beyond home media management and free video streaming. "Discover Together," a Plex Turns into a Social Network with a Public Debut, allows users to connect and find friends as well as discover new movies and TV series. Despite being tested in an experimental capacity last summer, this technology has since been improved and made available on Plex to a larger user base.
