Pathological conditions of the falciform ligament are rare, one of which is the twisting of a fatty fringe that can lead to fatty infarction of the peritoneal fat. To our knowledge, only 21 cases with radiological documentation have been published in the literature. Ultrasound and computed tomography facilitated prompt diagnosis of this rare finding.
