In this study, 2,4-diamino-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazine (acetoguanamine) was used as the starting material. 2,4-diamino-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazine was boiled under reflux with glutaraldehyde and terephthaldehyde in acetonitrile.
