Fractures involving the distal tibia growth plate are common in children. Injury or treatment that damages the growth plate may result in progressive angular deformity or leg length discrepancy. There is no consensus on treatment and follow-up of these injuries. This study aims to describe which factors increase the risk of premature physeal closure (PPC). A systematic review and meta-analysis were performed. Altogether 395 articles were reviewed, and ultimately 12 of them were found eligible, comprising 1997 patients. The most usu
