Preoperative measures should be taken up to lower the occurrence of DN. Although some cleft palates show asymmetric palatal shelf length and/or width intraoperatively, the connection between palate asymmetry and message results is not completely investigated. The mean age at restoration were 14.2 ± 5.26 months. The mean palatal shelf width and length variations were 0.87 ± 0.97 mm and 1.63 ± 1.61 mm, correspondingly.
