Currently, lactate (Lac) is used to evaluate machine perfusion (MP) of hearts, donated after circulatory death (DCD). We hypothesize that monitoring of myocardial microcirculation (mLDP) by Laser-Doppler-Perfusion is superior to Lac to evaluate perfusion and predict contractility.
