The value of these upgrades is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations are made available. For instance, the premium shield for racial discrimination Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb capability in PvP or to provide additional defenses on missile based designs in PvM.
