The Tigers hired Pat Kennedy to take over the teaching reins in 2004. Kennedy was an assistant below the legendary Jim Valvano at Iona; as a head coach, Kennedy twice took the Gaels to the NCAA Tournament, then returned to the large dance with both FSU and DePaul. Ozzie broke a world masters report in the a hundred butterfly while swimming with Dad, and their formidable relay crew took down South Florida’s greatest during his time there too.
