I'm the proprietor of a charity in Liverpool, UK. A Charity "boardroom" does not refer to the gleaming corporate variety. This is my first foray into the charity board model, an age-old staple as ubiquitous as cookies and tea. Nevertheless, the real question is whether these ancient buildings are still suitable for our modern, rapidly changing world. It is my belief, based on my experience in the nonprofit sector, that we need to reevaluate this approach. I recently wrote an article about this which I've linked on this page.
