Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kathie Fitzpatrick is a Baby Boomer who grew up appreciating the region's natural beauty and color. From taking family vacations to the beaches of northern California to touring the region's now-famous attractions. From her father Henry taking her to lunch at the renowned Cathay House in Chinatown when she was a little girl to her mother Ruby taking her and the siblings to the historic "Playland at the Beach," where the famous 18-foot character "laughing Sal" greeted everyone who arrived, to the San Francisco Zoo and Golden Gate Park, Kathie had wonderful childhood memories in the San Francisco area.
